Sorensen's: April 2012

Presley is growing like a weed and before we know it she is going to be 1! At her 9 month appointment she weighed 15lbs 14oz and was only in 12% for her weight. She was 28 inches tall in the 61% and in the 66th % for her head measuring 17 1/2 inches. She has been growing taller but hasn't gained much weight since her last dr visit. but the doc said she is a healthy little girl. What you have been missing out on....

Presley started crawling about a day after my last post about her.. so at about 7 months. She was all over the house so we re-arranged furniture to block her in and to keep her from going by the stairs. We would block off one entrance with the train, the other with the carseat, and the other with a basket of toys. Now we have lifted the gates and luckily she doesn't even care about the stairs. Within a week or so of crawling she was standing right up to the furniture.. she will walk along it a little but still isn't ready to walk. About 7 months she learned that she could clap and you can find her clapping anytime we say YAY Presley or Patty Cake! She loves playing peek a boo and will play with her self and her blanket and she thinks it is pretty funny. She is a little burst of energy and this girl has personality. At about 8 months we were eating lunch with my parents at Cafe rio and she started bouncing in her high chair to the music, and every since then she has LOVED to dance. Anytime there is music on she busts out her moves, sometimes even on all fours bouncing up and down! She got her 2 bottom teeth at 8 months too! She is still a good little eater and loves lasagne and Oatmeal. She thinks she is so smart and always wants to feed herself but usually makes a pretty big mess while doing it! She loves her walker and crusies all around the kitchen and gets mad when she gets to the carpet and can't go anymore. She just recently learned how to back up and turn around in it. Her latest big trick is she makes the funniest little face scrunches her nose, sniffs really funny and cheeses it really big. At 9 months she started saying Momma, and Dadda, and sort of babbles dog... . She loves animals and gets really excited anytime she sees any animal close by. She loves her best buddy Davin even though he is always in her face and teasing her.. She has learned to put up with it and sometimes even charges him by crawling really fast and head butting him! In case you were still wondering, yes she is still a thumb sucker. Luckily she doesn't love it too much and only does it when she gets really tired. She will start to rub her hair and suck on her thumb. I really didn't want her to be a thumb sucker but it has been kind of nice! We don't have to get up in the night to put binkeys back in. I assume she sucks on her thumb in the night, but she has never made us loose sleep. She goes to bed about 8:30 and wakes up at about 7:30! She loves her crib and has always been such a good little sleeper for us! We love this girl to pieces and can't belive how much she changes from month to month!

Lucky little girl! 1st trip to disneyland at 8 months! She loved the rides and would clap to all the music! She was so good and lasted from when the park opened until it closed that night!
