Davin's 6 Month Update

Wow! We have been crazy busy this month. Steve finished up his finals at school, I am still busy at work, and Davin is growing so much every day. Davin is already 6 months OLD! We had his dr visit last week and got more immunizations done. He is getting old enough that now he knows what pain really is and hates his shots! He recovered well though. He weighed in a little over 17 lbs and is in the 40th percentile for weight and 60th for height. He has started doing a army backwards crawl thing on his back and a nose dive backwards scoot on his belly. It is pretty funny to watch. He is getting such a fun personality. He LOVES baby food and will eat 4 or 5 jars a day! You can't eat anything in front of him without his mouth opening wide and him crying for your food. We are so excited for his first Christmas this year! I will get pictures up as soon as I have a second to sit down at the computer at home and post them.

Thanksgiving - 2008

Thanksgiving was tons of fun this year. On Thanksgiving we had dinner at Steve's Parents with most all of his family, then we headed for the West Desert with my Family on Saturday. We went jeeping, hiking, looking for arrowheads, topaz, and old mines and we had yummy dutch oven thanksgiving.

BYU - UTAH PARTY

My work hosted a BYU UTAH Rivalry Party Last Saturday at the Salt Palace. They gave out either BYU or UTAH shirts to everyone there .. I think there was about 2000 people maybey more. Steve and I left Davin at Grandma Alex's and headed for the big party. There was tons of good food and the game was ok until about the 4th quarter then I was pretty bored! Unfortunately we didn't win any of the good stuff such as the big screen tv's they gave out or any of the game systems but It was fun anyway.

Davin's 5 Month Update- November 19, 2008

Wow! Time is definitely flying. I have been back to work for almost 2 months now and Davin is growing up right before my eyes. He is changing everyday and learning something new. We have been having a little bit of a rough time the last week or so. Davin has been fevering and not feeling well. I think he is getting his 2 fang teeth on bottom. The results of this are restless nights for Davin and Mom, and Long days for Dad. Diaper changing is no longer an easy task. Davin is loving his rolling abilities and immediately rolls from back to belly any time he sees you coming with the diaper. I have mastered holding him down with one hand while putting the diaper on with the other. He LOVES LOVES LOVES his baby Einstein play jumper thingy. He likes the piano and music and laughing at himself in the mirror! He isn't enjoying rice cereal as much as in the past. I think his taste buds are kicking in and he is finally realizing how nasty it is! He is officially my little brown eyed boy and all that hair that he lost from when his was born is finally coming back and has really changed his look. It is so fun to see Steve and Davin interact with each other. Davin thinks that Dad is the funniest person in the world. I love it. I never in a million years imagined how great it would be to be a MOM! It is very hectic and tiring at times-especially when you have a sick little man throwing up in his bed so you move him to yours and he throws up in it too. :) I'm sure some of you can relate. But I just love everything about this cute little guy and can't imagine what I'd do without him.

Bridger's Birthday Party

My Nephew Bridger turned 8 on Saturday, so we all got together for a little pizza party and went bowling. I haven't been bowling for a long time and I scored a 128! I don't even think I have ever broke a hundred. (and no there were no bumper pads on my lane) anyway- here are some fun pictures of the family that night.

Davin's 1st Halloween - 2008

We have been having so much fun this year with Davin and now that we are getting to all the Holiday's it is even more fun. We didn't have many ideas for Davin for Halloween but he had a Harley T-shirt that he got from Great Grandma Sylvia so this costume was inspired by that. We call it the "BIKER BABE" costume! We bought him the bandana at walmart and I just bought some fake leather material to make the vest and chaps and some iron on studs and Harley bike for the back of the vest to top it off.

Work Halloween Party - 2008

This year the supervisors decided to throw a Halloween party, well more so Justin and I but Mike played along. Justin suggested it and the second I heard "party" I made sure to follow out the idea. We had homemade rootbeer and soup for lunch. I made tons of sugar cookies for us to decorate and everyone brought some sort of treat to share....

We had enough Junk food to last us the rest of the year. We also had a costume contest and I made sure that everyone in the office dressed up.

I was quite suprised to see how into it everyone got.. here are the top 3.

We also decorated the office and we each made a headstone with our names and how we died to display all around mike's glass office. I didn't get a good picture though.
