Cher's Shower and Baby Nursery

Last weekend we had a friends shower for Cher in springville. She got tons of stuff she needed so I am glad we had one for her.. Look at this belly!

She'll hate me for this picture.. but is this elephantitius ?.. she is miserable, but just chugging along. She is almost 36 weeks now... it won't be long before she just POPS!

Cher and Davin

Cher has been so busy with work and other things that she hasn't had much time to prepare for the babies, and if she did have the time she isn't feeling up to much so we decided to do a SURPRISE nursery for her.. here are some pics of how it turned out..

This crib came from the catholic thrift store in heber and my dad repainted it.. Pretty cute huh? can't beat that deal.

So while we were at it we thought we'd do Saige's room too!!!!

*Davin's 7 Month Update*

Another month has gone by and once again I don't know where the time went. Davin is keeping us busier than we can handle. He is ALL OVER THE PLACE. His famous move is to get up on all fours try to crawl, belly flop and then resort to the good ol' army, drag yourself with your arm, crawl. But he can definately get anywhere he wants to go. He survied a major fall off of mom's bed last week. Steve was out on the couch because he had a horrible cough and was keeping me up so when davin woke up in the night I just brought him into bed with me, Well..... lets just say mom was sleeping and davin must not have been becuase I woke up to a bang then screaming. Our bed isn't the lowest bed either. OOPS, thankfully he was ok and didn't even have a goose egg, that i know of. He is pretty spoiled and we are constantly entertaining him. He is growing up so fast, before I know it he will be driving something other than his dump truck. :)

Spur of the moment getaway!

This past weekend we went on a little joy ride and headed up to Montana to see steve's brother and his family and our newest nephew Tanner C. We didn't leave until LATE saturday night! We got to Hamilton about noon on Sunday and suprised them with a visit at the hospital. I think they were quite shocked to see us. We stayed at a really nice hotel (bitterroot river inn) we even were upgraded to a king suite for free since they were out of regular king rooms. Davin did soooooo good in the car! I was worried it would be a long trip with him but it was a good test for our california trip next month and we had no problems. For such a short visit we had a lot of fun.

New Years 2008

Traditionally we usually go to Steve's parents for a huge themed New Years Party and play cards and eat tons of food but this year Steve's mom had recently had surgery so we all celebrated at his brother Mark's instead. There was a major wii tennis tournament, Guitar hero and good food! Davin even stayed awake until the new year to toast with us! I dont' think he minded that his apple juice wasn't sparkling! :)

Christmas Day we woke up early at my Parents and Santa had come to visit Davin there. He was definitely spoiled!

After we got half of the presents opened we had breakfast we braved the storm and headed off to Grandpa and Grandma Sorensen's to finish opening the gifts and visit with everyone before they had to head back home. Steve got to open his new paintball gun there too! All the brothers, and some nephews got them this year for christmas and the wars have already begun.

Christmas eve was fun, We always go to my parents for their christmas party. We all draw names, eat good food, do a nativity play, get santa jammies, and feed the reindeer before bed.

This isn't about the holidays but I got this picture of Davin while I was at work on Christmas Eve and it just made me laugh.

Steve got the movie Tranformers with his gift at the sorenesn party and this mask came with it.

Sorensen Family Christmas Party- Dec 23rd

This year Tony and Lacey were in charge of the Sorensen Family Christmas Party. They themed it around "THE CHRISTMAS STORY" It was halarious. I forgot to charge my camera so I dont' have many pictures but I will describe it the best I can. There was.... A leg lamp, a heavily tinsel decorated tree with large christmas lights, a pink bunny pajama boy,

Everyone was wearing thick rimmed glasses with no lenses. A red ryder bb gun was auctioned off, There was a real duck on the dinner table, head and all. Dinner also included... turkey, meatloaf, ham fried rice, fruit basket, and much more. Everything just brought back all the funny parts of the movie it was so much fun. We didn't forget about the traditonal hay ride though.....

After the Hayride there was hot ovaltine (hot chocolate) waiting for us!

We also did the Nativity and Davin got to be baby jesus.

It was a fun night and it is always fun when steve's family gets together. Never a dull moment at the Sorensen house!!!!

This Is Some Of What We Were Up To In December!

My nephew Bridger was baptized the first part of December. I can't believe he is already 8!!!

Steve's brother Sam and his wife Chari had their first baby, Marlie. She is so cute. This is Davin meeting his new cousin at the hospital, She is the first of 7 of his cousins that are on the way!

It has been extra cold outside and we've been getting lots of snow, now Davin always leaves the house bundled up with his new beanie hat his dad bought him.

And Davin is changing so dang much, he is all personality!!!
